Evening Out West
The West Camp Crew provided the music for the New Mexico Junior Livestock Foundation's annual fundraiser "Evening Out West" in Albuquerque August 7. This marks the seventh year that we have had the pleasure of playing for this fine event held in the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Posse Arena on north 2nd Street in Albuquerque.
Jim Tomlinson from Hatch, NM played steel for us this year and what a joy it was to have him in the band. Jim announced that he was being recognized by the Western Swing Music Association by being inducted into the Western Swing Music Hall of Fame this month. Congratulations to Jim Tomlinson.
We saw many friends at the event but especially want to reach out to Johnny and Karen Bracken and thank them for their support. They are true "groupies".
