2013 Bucky’s Birthday Bash

June 15, 2013
Glenwood, NM

The 2013 Birthday Bash proved to be one of the best ever. Over 400 plates of Bucky’s famous barbeque brisket and pork were served to a crowd of folks who came to eat, enjoy their families, see and visit their neighbors, dance to good dance music and see and hear their Congressman Steve Pearce.

Congressman Pearce spent most of the day in Glenwood meeting with folks who are bearing the disproportionate share of the burden of the one of the biggest federal ESA boondoggles in history…the Mexican wolf reintroduction fiasco presented by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Circus.

Congressman Pearce also spent some time with Pat Morrison, the District Ranger who is responsible for the removal of the historic “Catwalk” in Whitewater Creek at Glenwood. Now she is refusing to expedite the restoration of the “Catwalk” so she can inflict more harm on the community of Glenwood.

But the whole purpose of the “Bash” is to raise money to support the law suit filed by the New Mexico Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance (NMOHA) against the Santa Fe National Forest for the new Travel Management Plan to close 70% of the roads in that forest. This is important because the Gila National Forest upcoming release of their Travel Management Plan which will likewise close the majority of historic roads in the Gila was patterned after the Santa Fe TMP.

Over $5000 was raised at the Bash for NMOHVA!!!!!

The Delk Band along with Bucky Allred wish to thank everyone who supported and/or attended the 2013 Bash.
